Open Question: Visiting New York 1st time 12-5 thru 12-11, must see and do?

My husband and I will be taking a trip to New york for our honeymoon, long story, married during Hurricane IKE, he is a cop and worried about safety for every the things "you hear" I am 6 1/2 mos. pregnant and in great shape, just fat and uncomfortable feeling, lol, wondering how much of new York can be walked and explored by foot and will we need a lot of cab money, what are rules and tip procedures, is it costly since gas is high these days? We have a 5 event newyork explorer pass, and want to do the hop on and off tour bus, wanted to do sopranos tour, but Radio city and a broadway play seem so expensive, yet everyone says its a must do even at the cost? Asking every tourists and locals about the experiences and sight seeing there. We will be driving from Galv Tx but plan to make several stops to look family in 3 states along the way, once we arrive at the hotel we plan to take trains, subways, taxis etc.

hello, this is a question to every the people that live in New york or used to or have visited it, first of every i was born and raised in New york but my parents moved to south Florida when i was about 8 years old and i hardly remember a thing!!! BUT now my mom is considering that we move back to newyork because we are not liking it much here as it is very boring and infested with noisy annoying disruptive and idiotic cuban refugees who lack the proper brain waves to rationalize a single thought, but since were planning to move back after this school year is over in june i would like somebody to tell me how its like to live in newyork city...well were not really moving there were planning on going back to yonkers...but i suppose its fairly close to NYC as you can receive there in a matter of minutes through the subway. so please...give me your thoughts...i heard its a great city..what about the...people...entertainment...crime rate....living cost....crowd control...awesomeness....people(are they rude or nice?)...immigrants...etc etc etc. lol that is probably about it you can add whatever else if you like..oh and if you can i would probably like a list of some celebrities that live there...thanks to everyone that answered in advance!!

Resolved Question: Where is the most exciting, tropical, adventurous, amazing or extreme place for a couple to go on holiday?

My boyfriend and I are both 20, and next year in any month of the year (as we havent decided yet) we want to go on holiday for a 2-3week period. We want to go somewhere that is different from the usual barcelona trip and different than just disney land paris! We have briefly looked at places, well just really noted down names of places that sound interesting: Africa Florida(maybe a couple of days at disney?) Thailand Hong Kong New York Amazon- for the rainforests India- for the culture So basically we only have names at the places and we were wondering where is the most adventurous place for us to visit. We are keen on rainforest especially and tropical destinations. But we are also interested in exciting cities like newyork, florida and india! We are just stuck at the moment and want to go on the best holday of our lives (so far...!) So we would be grateful if anyone has any ideas or would like to tell us about their experiences!! We just want the best. The downside is we have a budget of £800 each and then spending money on top! Thank you for your help guys!! adore Jess and Mark xx oh one more thing we would ideally like hotels but if anyone has any other ideas about camping in a rainforest or something allllllll ideas are grately appreciated!

I went to Hong Kong b4, I think HK is one of the best places I've ever been. HK has newyork city's energy, and California's sunshine and beach. Also, people there talk english very well(better than the people in Japan, Korea and China). Hong Kong citizens have many privileges, like they don't need a visa for traveling in most of the European countries. People in HK earn a lot of money. Now I understand why HK people are arrogant. B4 I went to HK, I assumed it's just like china towns in america, but it's not. HK is very well-developed, high tech, and clean. I'd adore to go there again. How do u guys think???
